A Quick Summary

The Idea: Six/Seven, a boat rental concept for high-net-worth individuals, had no website at all. As a passion project, I challenged myself to design and build its first-ever digital presence from a blank slate.

The Process: I took full ownership of the design in Figma and built the entire site with Claude, publishing on Vercel and moving from concept to live site in 3 days as a solo designer, without using a single engineer.

The Result: A fully functional, luxury-grade charter website — designed, built, and shipped end-to-end by one person, proving out a complete Figma → Claude → Vercel workflow.

The Challenge: Designing Luxury From a Blank Slate

With no existing site, brand guidelines, or content to lean on, the challenge was to invent a digital experience that would feel worthy of a high-net-worth clientele — and to do it solo, as a passion project.

A Brand From Scratch

Six/Seven existed only as a concept. Every part of the visual identity — typography, color, imagery, tone — had to be defined before a single page could be designed.

No Booking Journey

There was no reference flow to improve on. The fleet presentation, pricing context, and charter enquiry journey all had to be imagined and designed from zero.

A Solo Constraint

No engineering team, no client, no budget. The entire site had to be achievable by one person, end-to-end, within a self-imposed 3-day sprint.

The Strategy & Execution

To make a solo build feasible, I bypassed the traditional “Design → Handoff → Code” workflow. I adopted an AI-first strategy — designing in Figma, building the complete website with Claude, and publishing on Vercel.

Operational Pivot

Building with Claude and deploying to Vercel meant no handoffs and no dependencies. I owned every decision from concept to production, keeping the project fast, focused, and entirely in my hands.

Visual Overhaul

I discarded the generic template in favor of a custom design system with editorial typography, cinematic fleet imagery, and fluid animations that visually validate the brand’s luxury positioning.

CMS Architecture

I structured the content around the fleet — boats, specs, pricing, and destinations — so the site could realistically scale with new vessels and updates without restructuring the build.

The Building Process

I skipped the traditional waterfall process in favor of a rapid, iterative AI-assisted workflow. Moving from Figma designs to a Claude-built codebase deployed on Vercel let me validate decisions instantly and ship a fully functional charter site solo.

1. The Audit & IA

I defined the information architecture from scratch, leading with the fleet and social proof and keeping the “Request a Charter” CTA within two clicks from anywhere.

2. Visual Exploration

I established a refined, editorial visual identity and modular design system in Figma, ensuring consistency and scalability before moving to the development phase.

3. The AI-Assisted Build

Bypassing handoff, I translated the Figma designs into a complete website using Claude and published it on Vercel, keeping fleet content easy to update without a dev team.

4. Polish & Interaction

I elevated the experience with subtle scroll effects and micro-interactions, creating a premium, yacht-club feel without compromising load speed or performance.

The Outcome: A Shipped Passion Project, End-to-End

Since this is a passion project with no live client traffic, the outcome isn’t measured in metrics — it’s the finished product and everything I proved to myself building it.

Conversion-Focused Design

Every page is built to guide visitors toward a charter enquiry — clear fleet presentation, trust cues, and a frictionless request flow ready for real-world traffic.

End-to-End Ownership

From brand identity to deployed code, every decision was mine. The project proved a single designer can ship a production-grade site with an AI-assisted workflow.

A Repeatable Workflow

The Figma → Claude → Vercel pipeline turned out to be fast and reliable — a workflow I can now confidently reuse for client work and future projects.

Performance

The Claude-built site on Vercel loads fast and feels effortless to navigate. Visitors can browse the fleet, compare vessels, and request a charter with ease — a premium experience end-to-end.
